| /

  • This design is representative of the common mairé fern that grows abundantly throughout the islands of the South Pacific.

It is usually found growing on the igneous and lime rocks of the volcanic and coral atolls. It is often harvested during dance festivals and cultural celebrations, used as a component in traditional attire on such occasions.
